Welcome back to another episode of Inneagram and Coffee.

I am Sarah Jane Case and you and I are going to hang out and talk about something that

shows up in all of our lives.

We use this term in the Enneagram world a lot, and that is ego,

and how it keeps us locked in fear. This month in January, we've been diving deep. Oh, it's not

January anymore, is it? I'm writing and recording this in January. So for me, the month of January has been highly focused on how we are not our enneagram type.

And I think this is a really important conversation because while the aneogram gives us really helpful language to name our patterns, The goal is not to stay in those patterns.

The goal is to step out of those patterns. We get the language, we understand them, and maybe we can

do something different next time, right? It does not define who we are at our core. And I think

that realization brings us so well into today's topic, right?

Ego is what convinces us that we are these roles, that these identities are who we are

and who we will always be, and that if we let them go, we'll lose ourselves. I want to explore
