Well, howdy there, Internet people. It's Bell again. And welcome to the Roads with Bell. So today is the roads to Trump in California and more questions about the logistics of this. And I'm going to take this moment to answer some less than polite questions about the process. Okay, so let's get started.

You said they wouldn't have the troops to enact martial law nationwide, but it looks like it only

took 4,700 troops to subdue L.A. I guess the tough guy approach works, doesn't it?

It took 4,700 troops to fail to secure about 10 blocks.

Local police are still running the show, and most of the troops you're talking about haven't

even been put on the line.

But let's say they were successful at that ratio. Estimates say there are around

210,000 blocks in Greater LA. Feel free to do the math. Now, realistically, they don't need 4,700 for 10 blocks,

but that's what they used. Because it was really just a publicity stunt to manipulate

people into thinking the tough guy approach works. Next question. Why do you talk about the laws

governing this? He doesn't care about the law. For somebody who doesn't care about the law, he's gone to great pains to stay right on the line of being able to argue that he's within it.

There's not a uniform size to L.A. City blocks, but it looks like a good average is a perimeter of about 450 yards times 10 blocks, 4,500 yards, 4,700 troops.

He could have ordered them to line every street in the 10 block area, but deploying them less than a yard apart would have put them off federal property and acting in a law enforcement capacity, which would be illegal.

Trump doesn't view the Constitution as a hard limit because he doesn't actually care about it.

He cares about what he can get away with. Sometimes the laws and institutions

block that. Besides that, saying the law doesn't matter because he doesn't care is surrendering.

Next, why do the Marines need to train? I thought they were kind of the best of the best.

Simply put, because this isn't their job. It's that whole joke about being asked to work in a related field.

You work really hard to become a great chef and then somebody asks you to farm.

What? They both have to do with food, right?
