The ripple fact I'm a host, Ricky Brandis. This is the Ripple Effect podcast. We have on today, Peter Van Buren. He is an author and most importantly a whistleblower who exposed some unethical things that are going on in Iraq. And he talks about working for the State Department for 24 years, I believe, and how going to Iraq kind of changed

his life and changed his perspective and his life view forever. And we talk about that. We talk

about current events. We talk about history. We talk about so many different things. He has

such interesting perspectives and really well thought out opinions on all these topics

and more.

He's the author of many books including his most recent one, Hooper's War.

And he's also been featured on the New York Times and Salon, NPR, Al Jazeera, Huffin Post,

RT, what else, CCTV, Voice of America, so many different places.

So you might have run into his work at some point, but if not, then hopefully this will

be a good introduction to Peter Van Buren.
