Summary

UPDATE: This issue is hot enough that Biden already signed an executive order about it! Not that Biden Admin EOs mean much, since there are so many of them, and this one appears to just be an affirmation of some new FTC rules coming sometime. Nevertheless it's an important issue to discuss, and Louis Rossman is one of the most coherent and forthright proponents of the Right to Repair movement and best contributor to the discussion.

Hey everybody. Wanted to welcome you to a new T-Rex Arms podcast exclusive. This is Isaac Botkin. So far, I think I'm the only one that's done podcast exclusives. We would like to change that. And I'm doing something a little bit new with this particular podcast. So far, all the podcasts have been a little bit new. I was really happy to have my son on on the last one. We've talked about weird stuff

0:21.5

that we generally don't on the other ones. But one of the things that I would love to do with the

0:25.4

podcast is introduce you guys to various people that you should be aware of. And that is something

0:30.8

that we have done in the past. We've done book review podcast. We've built out something of a T-R-X

0:36.1

reading list. When I was talking about

0:38.4

night vision and how night vision is made, I pointed you to a couple of night vision

0:42.6

researchers that I appreciate that you should look up if you want more information about

0:46.8

night vision. And right now I want to talk to you about a guy named Lewis Rossman, who you may

0:52.9

already be aware of if you know anything about the right to

0:55.4

repair movement. And I also want to talk about the right to repair movement. There's a number of

0:59.9

reasons why I think this is important. But I also wanted to just take the opportunity to

1:04.0

let you know that I appreciate him in a lot of a lot of different ways. Now, I will just state right

1:09.5

off the bat that this isn't a

1:11.4

complete and total endorsement of everything that Lewis says. Just a quick note on endorsements.

1:16.7

The way that the far left and social justice warriors treat everything is that everything is a

1:22.2

complete and total endorsement. So if you ever liked anything that Jordan Peterson ever said,

1:26.8

then you have endorsed everything,

1:29.5

everything the Jordan Peterson has ever said, and everything that Jordan Peterson ever will say,

1:36.2

and everything that anyone ever thinks that Jordan Peterson has said or will said,

1:41.7

you have to be a hundred percent behind all of those things. And that's not,

1:46.6

that's not how this works. I can like Thomas Jefferson quotes, even though I don't like

1:51.9

Thomas Jefferson. I can point out that there are things that people who I deeply disagree with
