So the definitive lineup of Blink 182 is back.

Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have reunited with guitarist and vocalist Tom Belong.

They've announced a huge tour and an album next year and there's a new single out right now.

In a minute I'm going to be talking with Andy Green about all of that and the whole story of Blink 182.

Tom's substitute in the band for the last few years was Matt Skeboe of the band Aacline Trio and Tom just released a note he sent to Matt.

Hi Matt, Tom DeLong here.

I wanted to take a minute and say thank you for all that you've done to keep the band alive and

thriving in my absence.

I think you are enormously talented. I still love to listen to your

band to this day. You have always been so kind to me. Not only in the press but

also to others, I really noticed. Emotions between the three of us in Blink have always been complicated, but Mark's

cancer really put things in perspective. But to be honest, the band would not even be here

today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day.

So from my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.

So yes, Mark Hoppus recently survived cancer, which is just the latest chapter and what happens to be the really complex, sometimes dark, sometimes triumphant story of this band.

Travis Barker, of course, survived the plane crash.

Tom Delong is an important UFO researcher.

It's all a lot, and I talked about all of it with Rolling Stones and Egrin.
