| 0:00.0 | Thank you, Andrew, for bringing the Word and the truth of God, the love of God, the Holy Spirit, to all of us, throughout the world, because it is a Word and encouragement that we all need. |
| 0:22.0 | Thank you, Andrew. |
| 0:25.0 | And now, here's Andrew. Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth. |
| 0:33.0 | Today, I'm continuing to teach on the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. |
| 0:38.0 | You know, this coming Sunday will be our celebration of Easter, and I tell you, the resurrection is just a pivotal doctrine as we've already read on yesterday's program of Christ isn't raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith is vain. |
| 0:53.0 | Everything hinges around the resurrection of Jesus, and this is what sets Christianity apart from all other religions. All other religions believe there is some kind of a guide that there is something you have to do to appease him and to do things, but Christianity is different in the sense that our founder is not dead. He rose from the dead. He's alive, and he's not out there someplace. He lives on the inside of us. |
| 1:22.0 | True Christianity is all about a relationship with a living God who knows each one of us personally. |
| 1:31.0 | Man, that's awesome. And so I already covered a lot of things on yesterday's program. We're in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, and in verse 19, it says, if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. |
| 1:49.0 | You know, there's a lot of applications I can make of this, but if the only thing that there was to salvation is just in this life, if there wasn't an eternity to come, and all of the promises about how God is going to wipe tears away from our eyes over in Isaiah, it says that the former things won't even come to mind. They will never even enter into our mind. |
| 2:14.0 | Romans chapter 8 says that the sufferings of this present time aren't even worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. |
| 2:24.0 | If there weren't things like that, if all we were was focused on this life, I still think that serving Jesus would be better than serving the flesh and getting into all of the things that other people do. |
| 2:35.0 | But the thing that really sets Christianity apart is the fact that man, we have an eternity that's going to be awesome. And it says if we were, it only had hope in this life, we would be of all men most miserable. |
| 2:48.0 | I think there's a couple of ways that taking that is that there is some self denial. You know, I was just recently talking with some people who really love God and are serving God, but both of them have said that they believe that God is revealed to them that they're going to be martyred. |
| 3:04.0 | During their lifetime. And you go back in history, man, there's plenty of Christians that have sacrificed their life for the cause of the Lord. Right now, I'm in a situation where not only myself, but people who are friends of mine are being persecuted just because of their association with me. And I mean, they're suffering for their association with me. |
| 3:24.0 | I mentioned something about that in my class yesterday and I said, man, it'll cost you if you're going to be my friend. And I had like five or six different people in the class that it already has. |
| 3:37.0 | And you know what, if we didn't have an eternity where God is going to wipe tears away from our eyes where the former things won't come to mind where the things that we've suffered aren't even worthy to be compared with what we've already received. |
| 3:52.0 | This is the hardships that you go through. Jesus said that, you know, we would all be persecuted. Paul said in 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 12, yay, all those who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
| 4:06.0 | And if it wasn't for, you know, the fact that we're going to be more than compensated for anything you endure down here, well then we could be more miserable than other people. |
| 4:16.0 | You could take this to say that if there isn't an eternity and if it's like some people think just eat and drink for tomorrow, you die. |
| 4:23.0 | And there is no resurrection. If this life was all air was, well then it ought to be just eat and drink and have a party because there's no consequences. |
| 4:32.0 | I think this is why so many people are anti God today. They're coming against the Bible. Did you know you can't persecute a Muslim. |
| 4:41.0 | You can't persecute a homosexual. You can't persecute a transgender. You can't say anything. They'll consider it hate speech. |
