So good to see everybody.

I can't wait to hug next and greet meet new ones and then I greet some old friends

that have been with us for many many years I uh tonight is is always an interesting night because

we're able to just take a deep dive with leaders if you've never been to one of these

without any of the extra trappings of a traditional service

and I love the trappings but sometimes it's good just to sit and talk and have a conversation

around the table and that's really what nights like tonight are about and I do a lot of writing

so you'll know leading up to this and that's kind of where the bulk of the format comes from but today I had a lot of writing, so you'll know leading up to this, and that's kind of where the bulk of the

format comes from. But today I had a very unusual day of prayer, and I got caught in a real

swirl of prayer. Some of you were in here with me during part of that, and then that continued on

into my office, and so just really just going to see where the Lord wants to take us, and if he

wants to interrupt this and surprise us, we'll roll with it.

But we're just honored to have you with us.

I want you to take a moment to sort of disconnect from the day, the travel that you may have,

the flights you may have taken, the driving in, and just let all of that just fade away.

And do all that you can to allow the Holy Spirit to just let all of that just fade away and do all that you can to allow the

Holy Spirit to just let you focus on Jesus and really allow him to do something in you. I always

like to tell leaders, but I've been one of you. I don't even know if I've called myself a leader

anymore because I do so little leading. I just try to follow well. And that seems to be

the new template for leadership in my life is just follow him well. But I would say do everything that

you can to disconnect from trying to figure out what we're doing here that's working. We don't know.
