Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent, so let's go for a walk.

It is a beautiful early morning. The skies are clear. I can hear some frogs out in the field as I'm passing by.

Today I want to talk about five benefits of walking.

Walking is one of those things that if you start doing it,

Benefit number one, and that is reducing the risk

And here's the research behind that.

This was done in August of 2023,

and it was published in the European Journal

And this was really interesting because the way they did this, they looked at different age groups.

So the first age group is those under 60.

And they determined, found, discovered, that if you walk, and you're in this age group,

seven to 13,000 steps every day,

you can reduce your risk of an early death by 49%.

For those over the age of 60,

6 to 10,000 steps can reduce the risk of an early death by 42%.
