The film tells the true story of Senate staffer Daniel Jones, who is tasked by his boss,

Senator Diane Feinstein, to lead an investigation of the CIA's detention and interrogation program created in the aftermath of 9-11.

His relentless pursuit of the truth uncovers the lengths the nation's top intelligence agency

went to to destroy evidence, subvert the law, and hide a shocking secret from the American

public.

In addition to the report, Mr. Burns' directorial

credits include the movie for television Plutonium 239, episodes of the miniseries The View

From Here and The Loudest Voice, and an episode of the series Californication. Following a recent

screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Mr. Burns spoke with director David McKenzie about filming the report.
