who've played various

roles tied to President Trump's legal team during the Mueller probe. And today, we're going to hear

from someone who has spent the last year and a half publicly advocating for Donald Trump to be

impeached. Tom Steyer, he's a billionaire, former hedge fund manager, a philanthropist, environmentalists,

liberal activist, and fundraiser.

And in October of 2017, he started spending millions of dollars to run ads like this one.

He's brought us to the brink of nuclear war, obstructed justice at the FBI.

An indirect violation of the Constitution, he's taken money from foreign governments

and threatened to shut down news organizations that report the truth.

If that isn't a case for impeaching and removing a dangerous president, then what does our

government become?

Tom Steyer has launched a number of similar ads as part of his need to impeach campaign,

a fight that he is not giving up on. Tom, thanks for coming in.

Gira, thank you so much for having me.

All right. So you have dumped millions of dollars into this effort to impeach the president.

I'm just curious, easy answer, why?

Well, what we are and what I have been doing for the last six years is a grassroots organization. And what we're doing around impeachment has been trying to empower and enable the voice of the American people. And so when you look at what we've done and what I've been working on in this area, it's been entirely consistent with the

idea of a grassroots organization that believes in the power to the people of the people and by the

people, and that is looking for justice in America.
