0:27.0	I want you to think about a friend, family member, someone you know who doesn't go to church,
0:31.4	probably doesn't pray often, they don't belong to any particular religious denomination,
0:35.5	maybe they don't even believe in God.
0:38.4	Did you know that that person might be actually very, very religious? I know that sounds surprising, but many people
0:44.9	in the secular world today, they have their own system of values, their own vision for how the
0:49.5	world should be and how we should live, a certain sense of what's right and wrong and what they
0:53.9	hope for the
0:54.4	world. And what we're going to see is that the secular world is shaping people in a certain
0:59.4	religion. It has its own story of salvation, a promise of liberation from evil, a promise of
1:05.0	redemption, hope for the future. The secular world offers a gospel message. Good news, a news of salvation. It borrows a lot,
1:14.5	we're going to see from the Christian story, but twists it at crucial points. If we want to reach
1:20.8	our friends and family members who are away from the church and are shaped more by the secular
1:25.8	mindset than by the gospel today, we need to understand
1:29.0	that secular vision of the world, the secular religion, and that's what we're going to take a look
