Welcome to the Bible Study. I'm Stephen Lawson, president of One Passion Ministries.

And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture

so that you can better understand the word of God

and put it into practice in your life.

Join me now as we look together into this section of the Bible. And I just need to start with the word of prayer. We're going to dive right into this.

So, Father, thank you for bringing us together.

You've ordered our steps and have by your providence let us here today, so we are grateful

for what you have in store for us.

I pray for each of these men that you would unusually sanctify and strengthen them as a result of our

study today. For all who are watching by live stream and we'll watch this later

when it's posted may you open the windows of

heaven and pour out the fullness of your grace upon them. So Father we pray this in

Jesus name, Amen.

All right, for this one session, we're going to step out of the Book of Romans.

And the reason is, today is October 30th and tomorrow is October 31st.

Yeah, yeah, okay. The next day, no.

And for those of you who know anything

about church history, tomorrow is our day.

Tomorrow is the day when an Augustinian monk who had become a professor of Bible at the University

of Vittenberg in 1517, October 31st, nailed to the front door of the Castle Church 95 Theses.

They were 95 statements of faith that front door served as really the community

bulletin board and he was posting a desire to have a public conversation about the gross abuses of the Roman Catholic Church,
