that the theme for today is

the reformation doctrine of justification by faith.

We celebrate the reformation,

usually we're reminded of it on October 31st because on that day October 31st 1517

Martin Luther ignited the reformation really in earnest when he nailed his 95 theses to the door of the church in

Wittenburg, Germany.

At that time, Martin Luther was still very much a Roman Catholic.

He was very much a monk.

He was very much committed to Roman Catholic doctrine.

The 95 thesis were points to be debated. He had seen things with

which he was fed up and he wanted to debate, not start the reformation, but start the reformation he did. In order to understand
