Good evening, everyone. I'll just note there have been lots of times in Mormon church history

where lawsuits have happened and the folks who have sued the church or sued a leader

had tried to get those leaders up on the stand. It's happened in a court case with Thomas S.

Monson, Nelson's been called before. I think Gordon B. Hinkley's had to share his

testimony in front of the government. But often when these things happen, in more times than not,

they've been able to get out of having to take the stand and be able to say things.

Now, there's a moment in church history where a prophet, seer, and

revelator has to stand before the American government under oath with penalty of perjury

and has to tell the truth. And one would wonder what happens when that's the case.

Yeah, that was great.

So I've always been one of these folks that even when I was a believer in the church,

I remember a

moment where Monson was being sued by somebody overseas and it looked like he might have to take the

stand. And I thought, you know, uh, Tom Phillips, right? It was the same guy who came out with the

second anointing. It was. It was. And I part of me is like, I kind of want Monson to take the stand and see what he would say when he's asked tough questions. And that never- I looked at it and I thought, my goodness, you're a prophet. Damn it. Be like a prophet. Don't be afraid. Be bold. Be brave. The spotlight is on you the world is watching what more could

you ask for as a prophet to be able to have a platform to share the gospel of jesus christ yeah and

abenadai did it at the risk of life and limb if you remember he comes back into the town in disguise
