Tonight's episode is Chiasmus, Case Close, RFM, Episode 417.

Now, pretty much everybody who's in Mormon apologetics knows what a chiasmus is.

Let's put it briefly here.

It's an ancient literary structure. It's a way of

organizing information. And it's a way of organizing information that is supposed to make it easier

to remember later on because there's a certain amount of duplication that goes on in a chiastic

structure. We'll get to exactly what that is here in a minute or two.

But as an apologist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which I was for over a decade,

the presence of chiasmus in the Book of Mormon is one of the strongest evidences

that apologists have to put forward that the book of Mormon is true.

And the question I'm going to ask tonight is, is chiasmus limited to the book of Mormon, or is it found in other places?

Is it found in other places that are not even purported to be ancient?

And specifically, is chyasmus found in the Radio Free Mormon podcast show?

That's the question we're going to be looking at tonight.

Because if Chiasmus is present in my podcast, it means not only am I ancient, and there may be some truth in that,

but also that I am an ancient Hebrew.

Well, I am not really ancient, at least not thousands of years ancient,

nor am I a Hebrew. And yet, if, as I'm going to demonstrate, Chiasma shows up in my podcast, and I'm not

ancient or Hebrew, may be arguing that the presence of Chiasmus in the Book of Mormon proves that it is ancient and Hebrew is a bit premature.
