Hi, my name is John Kim and I'm a therapist who went through his own

0:06.7

rebirth. I share my feelings and revelations. I believe in casual or

0:11.0

clinical and with you instead of at you I come unrehearsed on

0:15.9

purpose because self-help doesn't have to be so complicated. So I caught a video of

0:22.1

the rock talking about his history of wise and not lies his history of

0:28.2

wise with the W and I thought it was a really interesting topic slash conversation. He asks people to talk about their

0:37.4

wise and so this is my history of wise and I think with our wise we have the logical why the why that we know but I think we also have a

0:48.4

Subconscious why and that we're not aware of so just using my story as an example and by the way I would love to

0:55.1

hear yours as well. I think it's important to think about our wise to refresh, to be reminded, you know, our wise are what drives us, right?

chasing something that isn't honest to us without an authentic honest why we can just be going

1:22.0

down cul-de-s, you know, putting a lot of effort and action into something

1:26.6

that ultimately is not going to be meaningful, fulfilling, or sustainable.

1:33.2

So for me, my first why, when I was writing screenplays, the why there was just to get rich.

1:41.0

The why was to get a house in the hills to drive fancy cars and I think subconsciously though that

1:49.1

why I was writing screenplays I mean I had a passion for movies it's not like I was writing screenplays. I mean I had a passion for movies. It's not like I was just forcing myself to do it. You know I went to film school.

1:58.1

I got I got some some praise from professors and they said I had potential as a writer.

2:04.3

So there was some authentic why there, but I think through the process,

2:11.2

the why was very plastic, you know, the why was very plastic,

2:13.0

the Y was very superficial, and on the surface my why was to succeed in Hollywood,

2:20.0

to have some kind of deal with the studio to have the house and the the

2:25.0

the the Rangeover Porch combo and the horseshoe-shaped driveway.
