Hey, welcome to the 300th episode of our self-love podcast. Oh my goodness, I cannot believe that Mary's

cup of tea has come this far. And I wanted to do this reflective episode to firstly thank you for your

listenership and for being here listening to me, ramble, because, you know, behind the scenes

isn't always sexy. I am just talking into a microphone,

sweating profusely. My office, like this side of the house gets really, really hot and I live in

Phoenix, Arizona. So generally, there's a lot of boob sweat that you're not seeing or smelling,

thankfully. Quite a bit of self-doubt and overthinking when I do this.

But week after week, this podcast means to me so much on both a personal and professional

level. So cheers to 300 episodes. I think that deserves both a celebratory cheers and a

dramatic sip of tea. And I'm currently, as you can see, if you're watching me

on video, I'm reclined, really dealing with my chronic pain and it's made it hard to

podcast. I'm not going to lie to you, but I'm trying to find a creative solution,

maybe a position or a filming set where I can be more comfortable. So this is my attempt at that.

And this celebratory episode is particularly important to me because it's based on what I put in versus an external outcome. So recording 300

episodes showing up week after week, about a third of those were guest interviews. The other two

thirds were conversations just like this where I basically talk to myself, put it out into the void,

and hope a sweet soul on the other end of it is listening. But I invite you to also celebrate

some kind of milestone that is solely based on your process, what you contributed to your process, rather than, you know,

a certificate, acknowledgement, some kind of applause. I mean, it is really cool to like get your

degree or score a new job, get a raise, like receive an award, some kind of recognition. That is awesome.

And of course, that deserves to be celebrated. But I think that society already accentuates

that enough, especially our capitalistic society. It will almost always be based on production, right?
