How do I find balance in my life?

Here's the thing.

There is no such thing as work life balance.

Work life balance is a myth.

It's not about balance. It's about rhythm.

When you're at work, if you're guilty that you're not at home,

you're going to be really down.

When you're at home, if you're guilty that you're not at work,

well then you're going to feel even more down. That's a

double dose of guilt and a double dose of misery. The answer is to be engaged

when you're at work and engaged when you're at home.

When you're engaged in both places,

you feel better about yourself

and you feel more productive in both places.

It's not about balance, it's about rhythm.

There's a time to work really hard and then rest. There's a time to

invest in work and there's a time to spend with people that matter most. It might be six

days of work and one day of rest as part of the rhythm.

It might be five days and two days. It might be where you are working for a few months
