We are so excited to be back in the studio today because today we have our first student

athlete on the NILSU podcast. Kyron Lacey is with us and I cannot wait to talk

0:26.1

to him more about his brand and NIL and all the things so we are about to

0:31.1

unwrap all of the good details but first we also have Jordan Arsema right am I

0:37.2

saying that right okay make sure I say, right? Am I saying that right?

0:37.7

That's right.

0:38.2

Okay, make sure I say it right. You know, I cannot pronounce Louisiana names very well. But we have Jordan Arsmont from our football staff with us as well. It is also your first time on the Real Deal podcast. Am I right? It is. Thank you for having me. Welcome. Thank you both for being here. We're super excited. So before we get into Kyran, we're about to get to you, but I do, Jordan, I want you to introduce yourself, tell our listeners a little bit about what you do, your role here at LSU and why you're with me on the podcast. Yeah. So I'm Jordan, I'm the director of player development for LSU football. That covers a few different things, but one of the things is all things in IEL for football.

Obviously, Taylor has a ton going on, and this was an opportunity for us to have somebody in the building

1:20.5

and takes them out of our plate.

1:22.4

And I'm super thankful for the help that you provided and how easy it's been to be able to work with each other.

1:26.7

Yeah, it's been really helpful. As we've mentioned a few times on the podcast, we have my staff obviously, but then I have liaisons and a few sports and Jordan has been incredible and it's awesome that our student athletes have him right there and have the access to him, right, Kyron? I mean, super helpful because, you know, there's a lot of them, right?

1:45.5

And we want to make sure that they have access and resources that they need.

1:49.4

So it's been super awesome to have him join the NILSU front, I guess you can say, team, front,

1:56.9

navigation, whatever we're trying to do here with NIL.

2:00.1

So, yeah.

2:38.9

So, Jordan, you want to intro Kyron? Yeah, so here we have Karin Lacey, Tiburdo Native, like myself. Shout out the 985. The 985. That too, I'm gonna play, man. So Karan, take us through what it was like growing up in Timitow, man, especially, you know, the neighborhood you were from. It was different. When we were younger, all we did was on a play sports, ride bikes, stuff like that. But it was a hard environment to grow up in. I wouldn't say it was easy, but it was like you just had to pick aside, like, if you want to go this route or this road. So it was just basically just being around people that had the same mindset as you and not following the bad trend and just being around good people.

2:42.0

Like you know who's good for you and who's not good for you.

2:44.7

So that was basically how I was growing up.

2:46.2

It was kind of wrong.
