Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to another episode of the Real Deal podcast.

I'm your host, Jamar Lincoln, Assistant Director of NIL, and a special guest we got with us today is a big one.

She is a fifth-year third baseman on the LSU softball team, a consistent hitter at the plate, who is top 10 in the LSU record books for batting percentage and top five for on-base percentage.

In 2023, she led the team with a 392 batting average,

making her NFCA All-Region first team.

In 2022, she was an NFCA all-region second team

and second team all-SEC.

She had a stellar high school career,

ranked as the 17th recruit in the 2020 recruiting class and the Texas 5A

state champion in all state selection. She's also an LSU graduate from Richwood, Texas. Ladies and

gentlemen, Ms. Danica, coffee. Hi. How you doing, Danica? Some of that stuff I didn't know.

This is your resume. And reading through it, 17th in the country, 392 batting average.

The 10th and the fifth is kind of surprising, kind of.

You put the work in, you know, just records just start piling up and everything.

But let's just get right into it, Danica, because we talked a little bit off camera.

You're a lefty

i'm a lefty so i know softball the mound is a lot closer to the plate than a baseball diamond

but played a little church league softball and i really believe that my skills and talents

could translate over to joining the LSU

softball team. If I get 15 pitches, I think I could hit one or two.
