I'm your host, Max Cohen, and I'm very excited to be joined by fellow congressional reporter Mika Solner today, who just returned from the campaign trail in Pennsylvania.

Mika, thanks so much for being on the show.

Thanks for having me on.

It's great to hear the perspective of someone who's just out in the field, as this is one of the

top topics we're covering right now is the 2024 elections in the battle for the U.S. House

of Representatives.

So, Mika, you were just in the Harrisburg area,

the Bucks County area. You were covering two top races, that's Scott Perry's reelection bid

and Brian Fitzpatrick's reelection bid. Let's start off with Scott Perry. This is a fascinating

race. You wrote some great articles this week about the former chair of the Freedom

Caucus, Scott Perry, in the fight for his political life against Democrat Janelle Stelson.

First off, what was it like being on the ground in that district, the 10th district, and what

did you learn about the race from your conversations?

Well, first off, I think this race is becoming increasingly interesting. This wasn't really a race that was on my radar prior this year. I think Perry's been in office for six terms and he hasn't had trouble winning re-election. You know, I think that being on the ground, it was interesting to see. There was a lot of momentum for Stalson, clearly, obviously, in

the Harrisburg Central area.
