Road to Ruin, had failed to produce the hit single that the Ramones had always believed they were capable of recording,

just like every album they'd released previous.

It's kind of sad, but as we know know the well-known adage is it's possible to fail

and not make mistakes that is not a weakness no it's not a weakness that is life

That's exactly what happened with the Ramones. They didn't make any mistakes. They were

always true to themselves. They always released great songs. But that hit single just wasn't common.
