The idea for the Ramones belonged almost solely

And you know when Tommy approached Johnny about it is like, you know, you used to be in a

ban when you're in high school, why don't you start a ban now? And Johnny is, he literally

said, no, that's sick. just sick idea that's a sick idea ain't

gonna do that but then he also added but I can do that if I want to the

interesting thing is that Tommy didn't actually want to be in the Ramones.

Owing to his background in music production, Tommy only wanted to manage the Ramones because

he saw the potential and at the very least Johnny
