I hope it's grand. I hope it's glorious. I hope it's wonderful, luxurious, joyful,

and happy. I've missed you all, and I am darn too-tun-sure. The feeling is mutual.

All right. Let us respond to some comments from last week. Last week we talked about how the world is just getting dumber.

Also, I talked to a couple of my friends that work in the school systems in various positions,

and they said, oh, it's terrifying.

They have to get digital clocks because kids can't read analog clocks. They,

there's like, I'm becoming dumber talking about it. But they say it's actually really,

really scary and they all hate AI. All of the teachers, everyone, it's the worst. So I was on the right track abby and i actually just got

into a huge conversation she was like i need to get off social media she's like i can feel

myself becoming i didn't even tell her what i talked about i keep strong opinions to myself

in social settings i spew them online to you guys.

But I talked to Abby about everything.

But I didn't really feel the need to unload all of my thoughts on this to her randomly.

So when it came up in conversation, of course, I talked to her about it.

But she started talking about how she feels like the social media is just sucking the life from her. And it makes her extremely unproductive. And for some reason, it's so different than reading a book. It just seems like, oh, it's not a big deal. I'll just scroll for a little bit. But then she's up doing scrolling. She goes, I could have been reading. But reading seems so, like, definite. Like, that is what I'm doing with social media. Oh, I could stop any time,

but when I'm reading, I'm like, oh, I should get to the end of this chapter. She had this whole

thing. And then we just started talking about how I feel as though the prime time of being entertained

with social media, but not at ruining and rotting our brains was 2012.

You had long form YouTube videos, and it was people you kind of followed.

So it wasn't just random boost of serotonin.
