to sleep, I think we all have our own version of what we think works. For example, have

you ever said something like, I must get my eight hours in otherwise I'll be a total

mess. The old eight hours a night is actually one of the biggest myths about sleep. It turns

out that that sweet spot is somewhere between seven and nine hours and more than that it

will change over a lifetime. The flip side to this is that getting too much sleep can

actually cause health issues but more important than counting the hours is listening to what

your body needs. And I was chatting with a good friend the other day and I was explaining

that for this week I was going to be talking all about sleep and it's interesting she told

me that she thrives on about five or six hours of sleep a night. I know what you're thinking.

I want what she's having. For her, it's not about the quantity of hours. It is about

the quality of hours. She has worked out what her body needs and makes sure to really

listen to it. She also recognizes that if she needs more, she'll try to take a nap in
