To accomplish anything in life, you must set a goal to accomplish it,

or more than likely, won't ever become a

reality. It has to be more than just a wish. It has to be something that you're willing to

devote your energy and your time and the knowledge and experience that God's given you.

Now, I know that there are many, many people who believe, well, somehow God just doesn't have any goals from my life, and therefore, they just sort of float through light.

God does have individual, personal goals for each one of us. And then he has those goals that apply to every single one of us.

Those goals that he has in mind for each one of us,

what we're to become as his children. It's one of those goals that I'm going to talk about in this

message. And the title of this message is humility, the pursuit. That is, humility is not just an

idea. It's not just an attitude.

It's just not one of the many Christian graces, but it is a very significant one.

One that not very many people are very excited about

because their idea of humility is that of weakness.

But when you and I begin to understand what God says about it, you'll realize that something

extremely significant about this quality in your life.

So I want you to turn, if you will, to Ephesians chapter four.

And I want us to read these first three verses to begin.

And then I want to talk about this whole idea of why it is so extremely

significant, what you and I can do to at least take steps in that direction, recognizing
