Navy SEAL to Lieutenant Commander, Naval Aviator and Flight Surgeon, Harvard-trained medical doctor

and NASA astronaut. We have the one and only Johnny Kim on the podcast today before his nearly

eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station. Johnny was selected by NASA as an astronaut candidate in 2017,

a native of Los Angeles, Kim is a United States Navy lieutenant commander and dual-designated

naval aviator and flight surgeon. Kim also served as an enlisted Navy SEAL. He holds a bachelor's

degree in mathematics from the University of San Diego and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Johnny is set to fly on the Soyuz MS-27 mission to the International Space Station.

This mission will be a crew of three, where he'll be accompanied by two Russian cosmonauts launching from the Bikonor Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

This will be his first flight assignment of his astronaut career, and he's scheduled to launch in April 2025.

Now, that's just skimming the surface of his remarkable career, or careers, we should say.
