Hey dessert listeners and today's episode I am interviewing Nick Thompson from season two of the reality TV show called Love Is Blind.

0:08.8

My first experience with Nick was watching the show and reacting to it on YouTube.

0:14.2

I enjoyed his story with his fiancee and then eventual wife Danielle on the show Love Is Blind.

0:21.2

I talked a lot about what I saw and I was cheering them on and hoping that they would do well.

0:27.3

And then they got married at the altar. Then a year later I heard through news stories that

0:33.3

they had gone through a divorce about a year after getting married is, I don't know the exact

0:37.6

timeline. And then last month in April of 2023, I started receiving a lot of emails from y'all

0:44.5

saying that Nick Thompson was in the news and also he was using his social media account to

0:50.9

talk about the way in which cast members are mistreated during the filming of the show.

0:56.8

And that he was starting a foundation or an organization to advocate for better

1:02.8

labor practices essentially. And then a little bit later I received an email from someone

1:07.4

that was representing Nick Thompson saying that he wanted to come on this YouTube channel.

1:11.7

And so I interviewed him so let's get to that interview now.

1:15.0

Welcome to the YouTube channel Nick. Nice to meet you.

1:18.4

Nice to meet you too. Thanks for inviting me on.

1:21.3

What happened while filming Love Is Blind that you would like people to know about?

1:26.2

Well, I think a lot of what's happened on Love Is Blind is not exclusive to Love Is Blind which

1:32.4

is really shine to light because a few weeks ago myself and a few of the other cast mates from

1:38.0

seasons one and two of Love Is Blind came out as whistleblowers to talk about some of the inhumane

1:43.6

conditions along with the mistreatment of human beings. Just to set the stage you are away for three

1:51.2

weeks and you spend about two of them in the pods and then you spend about one of I think it's

1:56.8

was five days in Mexico at least in our season. And then there's some some days in between that
