There must have been assistance, development people, co-producers who were aware that he had

a way of tricking these women to be alone if it meant his room. And so the problem with

our industry is, those people are worried that they'll never work again if they're the

person that calls a prosecutor and says he's harassing all these people.

That's my guest on the show today, writer, director, and producer, Judd Apatep. You know

a lot of his films and TV shows, they include 40-year-old Virgin, knocked up, freaks and

geeks, bridesmaids, girls, and most recently the big sick, which I thought was terrific.

His new stand-up special, The Return, debused next month on Netflix and I actually had the

privilege of being in the audience when it was filmed in Montreal over the summer. We had

made plans for me to interview Judd on the podcast some time ago, but the interview actually

took place in the midst of all this news about sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other

kinds of misconduct erupting out of Hollywood. It's a complicated issue. The news continues

to unfold. The scope is not fully known, and there are lots of voices that need to be heard

on the issue, particularly women's voices. But since I was seeing Judd in LA anyway,
