Today we've got Ted Liggety, the two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time

World Cup champion in Giant Slalom, on the podcast today, talking about his thoughts on gear,

walking us through some of the specific gear he uses today, and we get his really interesting

thoughts on the current state of skiing and ski racing. This is a fantastic Gear 30 conversation,

and even if you've never ski raced a single day in your life, I promise that you're going to

find Ted's perspective

really intriguing and probably really compelling. Oh, and at the end of this episode,

we're going to be running our customary crashes and close calls story. And unfortunately for me,

that means that I am going to be telling you about how I

fractured my arm mountain biking a couple days ago. So yeah, there's that. I'll talk about it at the

end. Okay, but in other more fun news, yesterday we dropped the first episode of our new movie podcast called Blister Cinematic,

and in episode number one, Cody Townsend and I revisit and discuss the 2011 classic NAR the movie,

that at the time, functioned as one hell of a tribute to Shane McConkey, and now the film

serves also as a tribute to the late, great Rob Gaffney.
