So today we're starting a brand new message series called The Art of Neighboring.

Can we say that together?

The Art of Neighboring.

And I want to begin with this principle.

Good intentions do not equal good priorities.

You might write that down.

Good intentions do not equal good priorities. You might write that down. Good intentions do not equal good priorities.

You know, sometimes when you look in the mirror or you go about your day, you judge yourself by your intentions. But have you noticed that the people around you, that's not how they see you. They judge you

by your priorities and your actions. And we feel this, we experience it.

I'll give you an example. Stacey and I, we love to go out on dates, 22 years of marriage.

I believe that that's one thing that helps our marriage stay healthy. But how many of you

would be honest if you're married or dating someone to acknowledge that not all dates are created equal.

Like they don't all turn out the same.

Some are awesome.

Some are terrible.

Some go wonderful.

Some end up in a fight.

Well, Stacy and I were about a year and a half ago, year and a half into our journey

of leading here fully like a busy season with the family, sports for kids, their activities, all that's happening with the church. And we're like, okay, we've got to have a date to connect, reconnect. So I'm like, what are we going to do? We're going to go out for Greek food because everybody knows, like, when the Euro and and the falafel comes, it's going to be great, baby.
