I'm so glad that you're here in church today,

and every week, all week long, we pray for you.

I pray that God would show up, that he would minister to you,

that you would encounter the presence of the living God,

and we believe that God is present in this moment. So God calls us to gather,

to gather in moments like this, not just to be in a large room together so that we can sing songs or we can feel good about ourselves. God wants us to meet with him, to encounter his presence

and be changed by his words. So we open up this book called the Bible every week. We believe

it's God's eternal book to transform our lives. It's the authority over our lives. And last

week, we looked at a passage of scripture from the Bible. It was Jesus talking to a group of

religious leaders. They came with a question. They said, what's the most important commandment in all of the

Bible? What's the most important of 613 laws? And Jesus boiled it down to two. Jesus said,

the most important and greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, with all your

soul, with all your mind. And the second is like it, it's to love your neighbor as yourself.

And on the law, on these two commands, all the law and the prophets hang.

So Jesus says, this is the focus of following me.

It's to love God and love people.

So we started the series last week called the Art of Neighboring.

And we're looking these four weeks at how do we love the people around us? You know,

that word in the original language when Jesus would speak it, the word neighbor literally means
