Tonight I'm blessed to be with Rosary on the road at the home of Tim Haak and a group of men that Greg Doring has pulled together

and disciple these dads who are discipling other dads. But it's a beautiful place to be this

evening because the world needs a movement of families and friends who live good

conversation, friendship, and pray the rosary together. But people keep asking me

Mike what is good conversation and what's the difference between a good

conversation and a bad conversation so today and tomorrow I will give you some

principles to follow in order to have a good conversation.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

It's obvious that the world needs friendship and good

conversation seems to be a necessary ingredient to friendship, but I think that

we've lost the art of good conversation. A good conversation is the reflection

together on that which is both objectively and subjectively important. By

objectively important I mean it puts us in touch in some way with reality in the form

of truth, beauty and goodness.

The ultimate reality is God.

By subjectively important, I mean we're both interested in the thing.

We both care about it.

And the most important quest, I think would even be a better way
