Mrs. Woodchuck is busy looking after Mr. Woodchuck, who is suffering from rheumatism and all the other woodchucks are busy so Monax, the youngest woodchuck, needs to go to get some corn. His mother tells him how to get to the barn and back safely. It is very important that he goes right all the time to get there but Monax is not sure which way is right and which way is left.
