Summary

Fr. Mike comments on Kanye West’s conversion. He celebrates Kanye’s conversion, but hesitates to lift him up as a Christian leader. He recommends that we let Kanye’s roots in the faith grow without the responsibility of having people watch his every step to see if he will fall; because we all fall in the walk of faith. Support Kanye by praying for him because everyone who is striving to do the will of God needs our prayers.

0:37.5

at their word, unless there's a reason to not trust them, right? So, uh, to I think his conversion

0:43.0

is legit, well, to the degree that A, it matters to me, and B, that I have any insight into this,

0:48.4

0:59.5

1:07.4

worldview, when it comes to how he perceived women, um, was drastically and dramatically and, um,

1:15.2

fatally, uh, shaped by, uh, seeing Playboy when he was like five years old. When he's talked about

1:19.9

how that has really messed him up for lack of a better phrase. Um, so he's been honest about that. He's

1:24.7

also, they thought this was really cool. He was also honest about the fact that in the past,

1:29.3

he had had, uh, songs about Jesus, but they were right next to songs that were glorifying a lifestyle

1:35.6

that would not be commensurate with Christianity, let's say, like that. And, and he is, he said, he's

1:39.7

said, that was, that was wrong of me. And I think that's incredible, um, for someone to, to be that

1:44.6

honest about, like, yeah, I was there, but I wasn't all the way there. Or I was saying these things
