devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

Good morning, you guys.

We are picking back up in the Thrive Bible, so without further ado, I'm just going to jump

on in.

Let's do it.

The title of today's devotional is Words of Wisdom.

In the Scriptures, James, chapter 1, verse 19, and it says this,

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters.

You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

The love letter from God says, beloved child, I created you with the ability to speak.

Your words can bring life or death.

They can build up or they can tear down.

They can heal or they can hurt.

Silence often speaks louder and does more good than words.

When you're feeling angry, don't speak.

Instead, pray and wait for me to fill your mouth before you talk.

This will not be easy, but it will be possible in my power.

If you will follow my instructions, you will find that people will want to listen to you.

Be slow to speak and quick to listen.

You will have fewer conflicts to resolve and have more peace in your home and in your

heart.
