0:18.6	We are picking up with a new devotion on the Bible app called Enemies of the Heart.

0:27.0	And as always, I'm going to read the scripture and Tori's going to pick up with the

0:30.1	Let's do it.
0:31.1	So the full scripture is Matthew chapter 15 verses 1 through 20, but I'm going to just
0:35.4	focus on verse 8, and it says this, these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts
0:42.1	are far from me.
0:43.8	The devotional is titled the simmering volcano, and it says this, our tendency is to monitor
0:51.0	our behavior while pretty much ignoring our hearts.
0:55.7	After all, how do you monitor your heart?
0:58.2	I can't get too far off base in my behavior without someone drawing it to my attention,
1:04.3	but my heart, that seems a bit more complicated.
1:08.2	Jesus said something that still has huge implications today.
1:12.1	The things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart, and then out of the
1:18.2	heart come evil thoughts.
