I want to talk to you about the power of your words.

Now, there's a lot of misunderstanding around this topic, so let's take

a look at what the word of God has to say. First, let's talk about the power of God's words,

because in understanding the power of His words, we then can understand the power of our words.

Genesis chapter 1, verses 1 through 3. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the

earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. The spirit of God was

hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, let there be light, and there was light.

Here we can see that God's word is creative. By that I mean that when he speaks something,

there is an immediate, tangible reaction. Hebrews chapter 11, verse 3. By faith, we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's

command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. In other words,

God spoke and caused reality as we know it to come into existence.

He's outside of time, outside of matter, outside of space. He's higher than time, higher than matter, higher than space.

And when he spoke, time began.

And when he spoke, matter became.

And when he spoke matter became and when he spoke space came about psalm chapter 33 verse 6

the lord merely spoke and the heavens were created he breathed the word and all the stars were born

let me read that again i want to just appreciate what's being said here.

Really think about what's being said here. Meditate on this. The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens

were created. He breathed the word and all the stars were born. This is power. Something came from nothing when God spoke.
