And today I have storytelling expert, best-selling author, and keynote speaker, Kendra Hall,

on the podcast talking about exactly that.

Not only the stories that as business owners, as founders, that we should be developing and

really committing to memory and using within our businesses, but we also talk about the

side of stories where we have stories

that we tell ourselves about ourselves, and those can either help us or hinder us as we pursue our

big dreams. Kendra Hall told her first story in the spring of 1992. Long before storytelling

became a business buzzword, Kendra was fulfilling a fifth grade

language arts assignment by reading a story to a room full of out-of-control third graders. Instead

of reading from the pages, Kendra set the storybook aside and told the story herself. Within

the first few sentences, she held those unruly third graders

in the palm of her hand, and she knew in that moment she had stumbled upon something powerful.
