I read an interesting article in USA Today some time ago about a New Jersey teenager, 19 years of age.

His name was Brett.

This young man decided that he was spending too much time talking and he wasn't listening enough to others talk.

So he took a vow of silence for a year.

That's pretty astounding.

I can't imagine for a teenager or a non-teenager

how that would be possible.

But I was intrigued by the idea and decided

to take a similar exercise or challenge myself,

except mine didn't last a year. I decided to try it for 40 hours.
