The special life teaching on the power of the cross is being broadcast

Man the cross he paid it all.

He died.

He didn't give a portion of it.

He paid everything for you.

And also if you combine this verse, let's go back again, 1st Corinthians chapter 1 and verse 18.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved,

it is the power of God. Put that together with Romans chapter 1 verse 16.

For I'm not ashamed of the gospel, for it, the gospel, is the power of God unto salvation.

So Romans 116 says the gospel is the power of God

unto salvation.

And here it says the preaching of the cross is the power of God unto salvation.

So I think that you can use those interchangeably.

When you're talking about the cross, if you're using it the way that the apostle Paul did,

you're talking about the gospel.

You're preaching that the good news is that it's not based on your performance.

You couldn't save yourself.

The Christian life isn't just improving yourself and promising you'll never mess up

from this time on because even if you could do that, which you can't, well what would you do with

your past sins? You cannot ever atone for yourself.
