Hello and welcome back to chasing excellence.

0:02.9

A show about chasing what truly matters.

0:04.8

My name is Patrick Cummings.

0:06.2

I am here with just a very quick introduction to the episode.

0:10.4

First of all, thank you, as always, for joining us and happy almost New Year.

0:15.7

What we have this week is actually a presentation that Ben gave.

0:19.9

You may remember if you listened to the episode we did with friend of the show, Chris Irwin of Rare Sense.

0:26.4

We mentioned in that episode that we had just come off of a one-day seminar.

1:18.3

further ado, here's Ben presenting on the storytelling continuum. There is a huge difference between

1:24.8

being a victim of a situation and having a victim mindset.

1:29.7

The victim mindset is the story. The victim incident is an experience. One you have control over

1:39.8

one you do not. And it's the stories we tell ourselves that end up shaping our lives. So there is,

1:47.7

what I think is one of the most powerful tools that we have because we go, okay, now reframe it.
