Summary

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Deepika Chopra to talk about what real optimism actually means — and why it’s so different from toxic positivity. We unpack the science behind resilience, curiosity, and staying open when life is hard, and we get practical about how to grow your “optimism muscle” in everyday moments. We talk about language shifts (like the power of “never” and “always”), parenting through low-capacity seasons, rituals that ground families, and why affirmations and manifestation don’t always work the way we think they do. chance. Thank you so much. I want you to define optimism. Yeah. Because it's different than what

0:52.7

people think. It's different than what people think. And's different than what people think and it's more doable.

1:13.9

what do you guys, what word comes to mind when you think of optimism? And of course, most people,

1:19.3

it's like a resounding echo of like positivity or glass half full. And I think it's interesting

1:25.8

and probably pretty surprising the people when the word

cousins. But to me, something that is much more in relation with optimism are things like resiliency
