Summary

We begin with some observations on how Democrats are so much more united and willing to fight through a government shutdown than Republicans. Next, I offer some baseline concerns about Trump’s Gaza plan. While details are still murky, we have to make sure we don’t get sucked into a nation-building mission on behalf of some of the most violent Islamists on earth — no U.S. assets or money should be involved. We’re also joined by Shannon Everett, lifelong trucker and co-founder of American Truckers United, who updates us on his success in getting the federal and state governments to clamp down on foreigners being issued commercial driving licenses. He started as a lone voice in the wilderness raising awareness to the fact that such a large percentage of drivers were unqualified foreigners, many of whom were here illegally. Blue states and even some red states are giving licenses to illegal aliens without even documenting their proper names and birthdates! Shannon’s fight demonstrates that when you are truly committed to a cause with the right intentions, you can succeed in forcing policy changes at the highest levels.  Learn more about your ad choices. And on this last day of the fiscal year, September 30th, I will tell you the last thing that matters is a couple day or week lapse in federal funding, partial federal shutdown compared to our economic, social problems we have in this country, security problems, Antifa, Islamic terrorism in our country.

That's the last thing I'm sure any of you care about, but obviously it's a big news in Washington.

Now, we talk a lot on this show about the things that are wrong with society, with politics, with the uniparty, different policy

issues. But one of the things I like to highlight is things that do go right and things that

1:04.1

we can learn from yesterday. We did a nice tutorial on local activism against the AI data centers to show how if you actually put your

mind to something, it succeeds. So I want to continue that for our main course today. We'll get to a

1:18.4

little later. We're going to have our friend Shannon Everett coming up. We had him on before

1:24.4

this issue was big. Illegal alien and foreign truckers.

1:29.1

It was a very niche problem.

1:31.7

You have one guy with a tiny staff, starts an organization, raises awareness,

and now there's a change in federal policies and states.

1:41.2

This has become a big issue.

1:43.8

Unfortunately, the problem was bigger than I even thought it was, but it just shows that when

1:48.5

you put your mind to something and you raise awareness, you treat this as a cause, not a

1:54.4

monetization and a grift, God blesses your endeavors, and one man was screaming for years. Oh my gosh, there's foreign truck drivers

2:03.4

that are so dangerous. And now he has the attention of the president and everyone on down.

2:08.3

So that's really good news. We have a lot of news on that front. Obviously, first, just to get to

2:13.8

a couple news of the day, I want to get to the shutdown and just some foreign policy-related stuff.
