Summary

We live in a world of codes. Some are as strict as software, some as fluid as the mother tongue. Some expand like math beyond human experience. Some are loaded with bigotry. Some are like poetry. They are all languages. These are the codes of our minds. When God came down and saw that humans were trying to reach heaven, in Genesis 11:6, God said, “Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” To stop people from reaching heaven, God scattered them around the world and created many languages for them to speak so they could not communicate with one another and could not advance in their work. Language as the key to reaching heaven certainly asserts its power. 0:11.8	And we're going to talk today about the power of language.
0:16.0	Something I haven't mentioned on the podcast is that I have a master's degree in communication. And I spent
0:23.8	a lot of my formative years studying communication and words. I spent a lot of time analyzing hypnotic
0:34.5	language and breaking down the structure of hypnosis.
0:39.4	I studied neurolinguistic programming for a long time.
0:42.9	I'm sort of a linguistics geek.
0:45.3	I'm super fascinated by the power of language.
0:49.7	In particular, I found by studying this unusual science that I could utilize phrases, sentences,
1:00.6	single words, in certain orders, using certain styles and techniques that created a literal
1:09.5	hypnotic trance in another person.
1:12.8	I became so well-tuned in understanding this unique power of hypnosis
1:18.3	that I was able to hypnotize people without them knowing it, without asking for permission.
1:24.6	And I saw others use these powerful tools to go on dates and get business deals.
1:32.7	I studied this in detail and found that psychopaths were able to get off Scott-free
1:40.0	at murder trials by literally testifying and utilizing these techniques in a jury.
1:48.8	The CIA had profound evidence and detailed study of these techniques and people who could
1:58.0	master the power of words could use it to master others. This became very
2:05.0	depressing for me. I went through a long period of drinking and sadness because I saw the
2:10.5	world just being manipulated. I could see it in everything around me, the way that advertising
2:16.6	worked, the way that movies used these techniques, the way that
2:21.8	politicians were using it effectively.
