Welcome, everyone. My name is Pete Scuzeiro. This is the emotionally healthy leader podcast. Our theme today is the power of a hidden life, leadership lessons from the life of Elijah, part two. So two weeks ago, I did part one.

Hope you enjoyed that.

But the reason I have 10 leadership lessons here is because I just had so much.

So again, I want to encourage a read on your, you know, one of your ties with Jesus.

Read chapter 17 to 19 of First Kings Kings so rich on the life of Elijah.

So I'm going to give you these 10 leadership lessons, but I'm going to focus on the 10th lesson

in particular. In fact, I almost made that the whole podcast, but I just had to give the whole big

picture of the 10 first.

So here we go.

Let's just jump right into it.

Leadership lesson number one from Elijah for us is this.

Don't jump to large ministry platforms until your inner life foundation is established.

Don't jump to large ministry platforms of success, quote,

before your inner life foundation is established.

Now we see this in Elijah, really such amazing life.

It says, chapter 17 is introduced to us.

The word of the Lord comes to him and says,

Lord says, leave here, turn eastwood and hide in the Carruth ravine, east of the Jordan.

You will drink from the brook, and I have commanded or ordered the ravens to feed you there.

And so he goes, he begins by his ministry in a sense, to hide, establishing a foundation where he is learning to basically be fed by God, a brook and a raven coming to feed him each day.

And then he's told to leave there and go at once to Zarifath to a widow at Sedan in a Gentile

country. And he lives there for a very long while. In fact, it says after a long while,
