This week on Ford, this idea of depolarization and not not realizing that

ultimately there isn't inherent sort of moral value to polarization, which I

think is actually the way I think unfortunately a lot of Americans come to

think about it. My personal feeling is that we're being set up in opposition to

each other in a way that pushes any genuine solution out of reach and probably

leads us to national acrimony or worse. Yeah, I share your concerns, Andrew, and I

think those personal interactions you've had are probably the only way to

actually begin to change perceptions in a way that is useful and authentic and

organic.

doesn't surprise me that you and Ibu would have met or worked together

because you're both doing such awesome work. How did you guys get connected?

Wow, where does my relationship with Ibu trace back to? I don't remember the

exact origins, but I do remember that before I ever met him, I read his book,

one of his first books. Which one? I mean, yeah, so many.

Just a story about how he came to when he was a Rhodes Scholar and he came to

found what was then called Interfaith Youth Corps and sort of like his

thinking behind that. And that was just I think that I was probably in college

at the time doing a third major in religious studies that just sort of came
