I've asked my lovely bit Twixters. It's me, Kate Lister. I am here with Yees Fair Doos Warning.

0:06.9

Why am I talking like that? Well, you might have guessed we're actually talking about pirates

0:11.1

today, so you have got a piratey Fair Doos Warning. And I've just said that now. I've no idea

0:16.2

what a pirate's Fair Doos Warning would actually sound like. So let's just go for the regular one.

This is an adult podcast spoken by adults to other adults in an adulty way, and you should be

0:26.8

an adult as well. We are talking about pirates and all things piratey, which is a lot of fun,

0:34.1

but does inevitably stray into topics around murder, kidnapping, arson, looting, all the kind of

0:42.6

things that you think the pirates get up to. And it's actually quite violent. So you might not

0:48.1

1:17.0

the Pirates Morgan and Bartholomew. And one of the things that it says they have to do is take

1:21.2

a prisoner to their captain. And those who fall behind stay behind. A good rule for pirates and

1:28.6

also when you're out drinking with your mates as well, you can implement that one. Better off

1:32.5

for everyone I'm telling you. But was there really a pirate code? Was that ever such a thing?

1:38.4

Did it really begin an ending parlay? Well it turned out that there is a whole lot more to

1:45.0

life on a pirate ship than rules set down by Morgan and Bartholomew parlay and take me to your

1:50.0

captain because pirate ships were a proper business and have to be run like a business.

1:56.8

And today, the Twix the Sales, we are going to find out more. Let's do this.

2:09.8

What do you have for a man? Oh, money of course. You're supposed to rise when an adult speaks to you.
