My name is Elliot Morgan, and I'm here with my buddy Peter Rollins, who is coming

at us live from Belfast, Ireland, as I talk to you from Los Angeles, California.

And because you know us as those guys who are always on the cutting edge of pop culture topics,

as they are happening, we are here to talk about a movie that came out way earlier in the year called Barbie,

folks.

You may have heard something about it.

It's become one of the highest grossing

films in North America ever. It has surpassed the Avengers. It's made over a billion dollars,

and it is who hasn't seen Barbie. And it has ignited a cultural conversation, and so we thought

we would add to that by exploring perhaps a philosophical,

psychoanalytic perspective on it, as far as I know, I guess. And so Pete, this is going to be an episode,

it's going to be heavy, folks. It's going to be compensatory toward the lightness and brightness of Barbie,

a movie I Happened to Very Much Love. And Pete is going to walk us through various forms of, I believe, hysteria, ways of understanding

it, what it is, how it's exemplified in that film.

And as long as he doesn't say anything mean about Margot Robbie or Ryan Gosling, especially,

cajoled by a number of friends are saying this is a cultural
