He's such an awesome God. We love him and bless him and honor him just for who he is.

Wonderful Savior. Gracious Redeemer. Well, our text today comes from the 11th chapter of the book

of Daniel Old Testament, verse 31 and 32, you never throw

away the Old Testament just because you have a New Testament.

You have to understand the whole Bible is treasure.

You wouldn't throw away old money just because you get new money because it has value. You never throw

away the old. It is the Old Testament that gives context to the New Testament. So in Daniel

11, verse 31, notice the word of the Lord here. Armed forces of his of his will arise in Jerusalem and defile and desecrate the sanctuary, the spiritual

stronghold, and will do away with the regular sacrifice, that is, the daily burnt offering.

And they will set up a pagan altar in the sanctuary, which is the abomination of desolation.

With smooth words of flattery and praise, he will turn to godlessness those who are willing

to disregard the Mosaic covenant.

But the people who are spiritually mature and know their God will display strength and take action to resist.

I'm speaking today from the subject, the people who know. The people who know.

This is an excerpt from a message that an angel of the Lord delivered to Daniel the prophet.

Daniel is from the tribe of Judah, the same tribe that Jesus is from.

The name Daniel means God is judge. And he was judging the abomination, the sin of the nation,

because these were God's people who somehow had drifted from their foundations in God. And an enemy sneaked in and began to create counterfeit worship, setting up things

in the temple, in the house of God. It came to a familiar place and began to pull away their

devotion from the true and the living God and this is a prophetic message to what

the devil is doing in our world today.

This is talking about in the times of Daniel, but you know, this is a living book.
